I had an opportunity to work under the guidance of Dr. Jana Kainerstorfer, Professor at Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University.


  • Processed and analyzed optical signals using the MATLAB programming language.
  • Presented analysis that compares different cardiac pulse extraction algorithms to Biomedical Engineering students and faculty.

American RED CROSS

Position: Intern at Red Cross Disaster Recovery Services
Duration: 8 Weeks / Summer 2025


Disaster Services Outreach Intern, American Red Cross NorCal 

  • Conducted phone and email outreach to 100+ organizations to build disaster recovery database
  • Updated Regional Client Care Manager on progress during weekly meetings
  • Developed and presented a capstone project to staff on mental health resources for disaster-affected children

At Al Fasht Specialist Clinic, I had the unique opportunity to shadow experienced medical professionals and gain direct exposure to the diagnosis and treatment of various mental disorders in children, youth, and adults. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and clinical practice.


  • Observed clinical care for patients with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, personality disorders, and substance abuse
  • Observed occupational and speech therapy techniques
  • Gained insight into treatment approaches and developed patient communication skills

At McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, I expanded my clinical exposure by shadowing physicians across different specialties, gaining a deeper understanding of hospital operations, patient care, and medical decision-making.

CITY OF FREMONT AQUA ADVENTURE WATERPARK

Position: Leader at Guest Services

Location: Fremont, California
Duration:  8 Weeks / Summer 2023


During the summer, I worked at Aqua Adventure Waterpark, where I gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment that required strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.


  • Handled customer service, ticketing, and retail sales at water park; strengthened problem-solving and communication skills and saved for college
